Qualifications and Experience:
Current certification and licensure as a Radiation Therapist Proven experience operating radiation therapy equipment and administering treatments accurately Knowledge of current radiological safety standards and protocols Proficient in maintaining detailed patient records and understanding treatment planning Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for working with patients and multidisciplinary teams Ability to adapt to changing schedules and clinical environments
Key Responsibilities:
Administer prescribed radiation therapy treatments under the supervision of oncology physicians Monitor and assess patient reactions before, during, and after treatments, reporting any concerns Maintain and calibrate radiation therapy equipment, performing quality assurance checks as required Educate patients and their families about procedures, side effects, and necessary post-treatment care Ensure a safe and supportive environment for every patient, adhering at all times to established safety guidelines Collaborate closely with healthcare professionals—including oncologists, nurses, and physicists—to coordinate effective care This locum tenens role offers the potential to expand your expertise while contributing to a supportive, patient-centered clinical team.
