Job Description

Category Radiation Therapy Job Type Contract A well-established acute care setting is seeking an experienced professional with expertise in radiation therapy to provide compassionate care in an advanced clinical environment. This contract opportunity begins on July 13, 2026, with day shifts scheduled Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM (five 8-hour shifts). No block scheduling is available. Weekend call coverage is required on a rotating basis from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM. The unit has two rooms and typically manages a daily caseload of 20 patients per machine, primarily serving adult and geriatric patients undergoing treatment for a variety of oncology diagnoses.
Schedule/Hours:
Day shift: 5x8 hours (08:00 - 16:30) No block schedules Rotating weekend call required (08:00 - 16:00) Pre-approved time off: 2 requests; max 7 days off
Qualifications:
Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Radiation Therapist (travel experience not required) ARRT (T) certification and state license required California state license preferred (pending license accepted) Experience with adult outpatient, acute care, internal treatments, and specialized procedures including SRS, SBRT, tomotherapy, respiratory gating, and stereotactic radiosurgery Comfortable managing Hodgkin's Lymphoma, Non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma, Pancreatic Cancer, Testicular Cancer, and additional specified conditions
Responsibilities:
Deliver precise radiation therapy to adult and geriatric patients as prescribed Operate and maintain treatment equipment (Elekta Infinity, Varian 21 ex/ix) Use CT simulators (Toshiba) and charting systems (Epic preferred) Collaborate using software such as Impac MOSAIQ Follow strict protocols for safety and accuracy in patient care Provide superior patient communication and support throughout treatments
