Category Radiation Therapy - Radiation Therapist Job Type Per Diem We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Radiation Therapist to join our Radiation Oncology team on a PRN (as-needed) basis in Pomona, California. This position provides coverage for staffing needs, vacations, leaves of absence, and fluctuations in patient volume. There are no guaranteed hours, and the selected candidate will be scheduled and called in based on departmental needs. New graduates are encouraged to apply. We are committed to supporting professional growth and providing mentorship for therapists beginning their careers. Responsibilities Deliver prescribed radiation treatments accurately and safely under the direction of the Radiation Oncologist. Operate and maintain radiation therapy equipment, including Varian and Accuray treatment platforms. Verify patient identity and treatment parameters prior to each treatment session. Monitor patients during treatment and respond appropriately to concerns or changes in condition. Document treatment delivery and maintain accurate patient records. Collaborate with physicians, dosimetrists, physicists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure quality patient care. Follow all radiation safety and regulatory guidelines. Participate in departmental quality assurance and continuing education activities as needed. Qualifications Required Graduate of an accredited Radiation Therapy program. Current California Radiation Therapist licensure (or eligibility to obtain prior to start date). Current ARRT certification in Radiation Therapy [RT(T)] or eligibility to obtain. Current BLS certification or ability to obtain upon hire. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and adapt to changing schedules. Preferred Experience with Varian and/or Accuray treatment systems. Previous clinical experience in a radiation oncology setting.
