Key Qualifications:
Valid certification as a Radiation Therapist (ARRT certified or equivalent) Demonstrated expertise in delivering radiation therapy treatments with precision and safety Familiarity with treatment planning systems and radiation oncology equipment Strong communication skills for effective patient interaction and coordination with medical staff Ability to maintain accurate records and ensure strict adherence to safety protocols Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred Prior locum tenens or travel experience a plus
Responsibilities:
Perform daily radiation therapy sessions following prescribed protocols and schedules Collaborate with oncologists, medical physicists, and other healthcare professionals to implement treatment plans Educate patients and families regarding treatment processes, addressing any questions or concerns Monitor patients for reactions or side effects, reporting observations to the clinical team Maintain meticulous, up-to-date treatment records and documentation Ensure radiation safety by adhering to all regulatory and facility guidelines Assist with equipment calibration, quality assurance procedures, and departmental support as needed This is an excellent opportunity to contribute your expertise in radiation therapy within a supportive and collaborative team atmosphere.
