Job Description

Category Radiation Therapy Job Type Contract Deliver specialized care as a Radiation Therapist within a dynamic Radiation Oncology department serving patients with professionalism and compassion. This 16-week contract role calls for a talented professional well-versed in radiation therapy procedures and patient-focused service.
Please note:
candidates residing in Broward, Dade, or Palm Beach counties are not eligible for consideration.
Schedule:
Varies, five 8-hour shifts each week Occasional weekend coverage may be required, though not regularly
Key Responsibilities:
Administer radiation therapy treatments as prescribed by radiation oncologists Prepare, operate, and calibrate radiation equipment in accordance with safety standards Assess and monitor patient reactions throughout treatment, providing support and guidance Maintain accurate documentation of procedures, doses, and patient records Work collaboratively with physicians, nurses, physicists, and other healthcare staff Ensure all protocols and policies are strictly followed within the Radiation Oncology department
Required Qualifications:
Valid Florida State License for Radiation Therapy (must be active through the entire assignment) ARRT (RTT) registered technologist in Radiation Therapy BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) Graduation diploma or transcript from an accredited Radiation Therapy program (diploma/transcript required for submission) Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with patients and team members Demonstrated expertise in following precise instructions and maintaining safety procedures
