Key Qualifications:
Completion of an accredited Radiation Therapy program Valid certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in Radiation Therapy Current state licensure or eligibility as a Radiation Therapist Proven experience operating radiation therapy equipment and performing precise radiation treatments Strong patient communication, organizational, and teamwork abilities Commitment to high standards of safety and quality in patient care
Primary Responsibilities:
Administer accurate radiation treatments as prescribed by oncologists and according to treatment protocols Prepare patients for procedures, explaining processes, and ensuring comfort and safety throughout sessions Operate advanced radiation therapy machines with meticulous attention to calibration, safety checks, and regulation adherence Maintain comprehensive and precise records of treatments and patient outcomes Collaborate closely with radiation oncologists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to optimize care delivery Monitor patient responses and report any adverse reactions or changes promptly
