MUST live 50 miles or more from facility! Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Radiation Therapy Technologist to join our dynamic healthcare team. In this vital role, you will operate advanced radiation therapy equipment to deliver precise treatment plans for patients undergoing cancer care. Your expertise in medical imaging, anatomy, and physiology will ensure safe and effective treatment delivery while providing compassionate patient support throughout their journey. This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference in patients' lives by combining technical proficiency with exceptional patient care. Responsibilities Prepare and position patients accurately for radiation therapy procedures, ensuring comfort and safety. Operate sophisticated radiation therapy equipment, including linear accelerators and related imaging devices such as CT scanners, to deliver targeted treatments. Collaborate with physicians, radiologists, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized treatment plans. Monitor patient responses during therapy sessions, adjusting techniques as necessary to optimize outcomes. Maintain detailed records of treatment sessions, ensuring compliance with safety protocols and medical regulations. Conduct quality assurance checks on all radiation equipment to guarantee optimal performance and safety standards. Educate patients about their procedures, addressing questions and alleviating concerns with clear, compassionate communication. Qualifications Proven experience as a Radiation Therapy Technologist or similar role in a clinical setting. Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology relevant to radiation therapy. Familiarity with radiation therapy protocols, safety procedures, and quality assurance practices. Additional skills in mammography or medical imaging are considered a plus. Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex procedures clearly to patients and team members.
