Job Description
Category Radiation Therapy - Radiation Therapist Job Type Contract Make an immediate impact delivering high-quality care as a Radiation Therapist. This contract role offers the opportunity to work alongside dedicated healthcare professionals and support patients through their treatment journey.
Key Responsibilities:
Administer prescribed radiation therapy treatments accurately and safely to oncology patients. Operate radiation equipment, ensuring adherence to established safety protocols. Collaborate with physicians, physicists, and other members of the care team to develop and implement individual patient care plans. Regularly assess and monitor patients for treatment side effects, communicating any changes or concerns promptly. Maintain precise and detailed treatment records in compliance with facility and regulatory standards. Educate patients and their families on what to expect from radiation treatments and address questions with empathy. Consistently uphold a patient-centered approach, fostering comfort and reassurance throughout the treatment process.Qualifications:
Completion of an accredited Radiation Therapy program is required. Active ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification in Radiation Therapy. Current state licensure in Radiation Therapy (or eligibility to obtain). Previous experience as a Radiation Therapist preferred. Strong attention to detail and commitment to safe, effective care delivery. Excellent communication skills and a compassionate, supportive approach to patient care. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced clinical environment and work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
