Category Radiation Therapy - Radiation Therapist Job Type Travel Nestled in vibrant Roswell, GA, this opportunity for a travel Radiation Therapist presents the perfect blend of professional growth and rewarding adventure. Schedule/Hours:
Day shift, Monday through Friday, between 8am and 7pm (hours vary week to week) Occasional weekend shifts as needed On-call rotation participation As a Staff Radiation Therapist in the Radiation Oncology Department, you'll be integral in applying ionizing radiation to a diverse patient population in accordance with oncologist prescriptions and treatment plans. This position is ideal for those with a passion for precision patient care and enthusiasm for contributing to patient and student education within a collaborative hospital setting.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver high-quality, precise therapy treatments in accordance with physician and physicist instructions Operate radiation-producing equipment, adhering to all safety measures and universal precautions Participate in Quality Control monitoring and daily equipment warm-up procedures Document patient care and procedures thoroughly within electronic medical records (EMR) Educate patients and families regarding treatment protocols, side effects, and supportive techniques Mentor and evaluate students as a clinical instructor Maintain readiness to perform additional tasks and assist the department as necessary
Qualifications:
Graduate of an accredited radiation therapy program (Associate's or higher) Minimum of 2 years' experience in Radiation Therapy preferred Current ARRT Radiation Therapy certification (ARRT-T) Valid BLS certification (American Heart Association or Red Cross accepted) Demonstrated ability to safely treat and simulate patients across adolescent, adult, and geriatric populations
