Job Description

Category Radiation Therapy - Radiation Therapist Job Type Contract Step into a vital healthcare role as an experienced radiation therapist—making a difference in the lives of patients requiring advanced radiation therapy. As a key member of the treatment team, you'll operate highly specialized equipment to administer targeted therapies and ensure the highest standard of patient care throughout each session.
Required Qualifications & Experience:
Valid certification as a radiation therapist (ARRT required) Active and unrestricted state license in Georgia Proficient in planning and delivering radiation therapy treatments Experience with linear accelerators and simulation procedures Excellent communication and patient-care skills Ability to collaborate effectively with oncologists, dosimetrists, and nursing staff Basic understanding of EMR systems and documentation protocols
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and position patients for precise delivery of prescribed radiation treatments Operate radiation therapy equipment, ensuring calibration and safety checks before each session Monitor patient responses, comfort, and progress, reporting any changes to the clinical team Maintain accurate records of treatments delivered and assist with simulation procedures as needed Provide compassionate education and support to patients and families throughout therapy Uphold stringent safety and infection-control standards in all aspects of patient care
