Job Description

Radiation Therapist - 13‑Week Contract | Peoria, IL A rewarding opportunity is available for an experienced Radiation Therapist to join a dedicated Radiation Oncology team in Peoria, IL . This full‑time, 13‑week assignment offers consistent daytime hours and the chance to make a meaningful impact on patient care while working with advanced treatment technology. The Radiation Therapist will support daily clinical operations, deliver high‑quality radiation treatments, and collaborate closely with physicians and allied health professionals to ensure exceptional patient experiences.

Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m.-4:30 p.m.

$78.00 - $85.00 based on experience

Experience Required:
2+ years Key Responsibilities Deliver prescribed doses of ionizing radiation using specialized radiation therapy equipment. Prepare treatment rooms, position patients accurately, and ensure patient comfort throughout therapy sessions. Monitor patients during treatment and communicate any changes to the clinical team. Perform treatment simulations according to physician‑approved plans. Design and construct custom treatment devices tailored to individual patient needs. Support workflow efficiency and contribute to process improvements within Radiation Oncology. Provide age‑appropriate, compassionate patient care. Required Qualifications Current IEMA Department of Nuclear Safety licensure. ARRT registered or registry‑eligible (must obtain ARRT within 6 months). Completion of a 2‑year Radiation Therapy training program . Strong understanding of radiation therapy procedures, equipment operation, physics fundamentals, and patient care techniques. Excellent interpersonal communication skills for working with patients, physicians, and clinical staff. Analytical ability to interpret treatment prescriptions and accurately replicate treatment plans.
