JOB SUMMARY

This position is responsible for performing a variety of radiographic and other procedures to prepare the patient to be treated with radiation. This position is designed to assist the radiation oncologist in treating patients with a linear accelerator or other radiation equipment. This position requires providing services to one or more age populations, including adolescent through geriatric, in a manner that demonstrates an understanding of the functional/developmental age of the individual served. This position requires full understanding and active participation in fulfilling the Mission of Blessing Hospital. It is expected that the employee demonstrate behavior consistent with the Core Values while supporting the strategic plan, goals, and direction of the Performance Improvement Process (PIP) at Blessing Hospital.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

Education/Training/Experience:

REQUIRED

Graduate of an accredited school of radiologic technology or radiation therapy school. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

PREFERRED

N/A License/Certifications/Special Requirements:

Possess current Illinois license in radiation therapy. Possess A.R.R.T. Registration in radiologic technology or radiation therapy.
