Radiation Therapist - Rockford, Illinois

Bachelor's degree, Certification in Radiologic Technology (ARRT Certification), and minimum 1+ years Radiation Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. Seeking an experienced Radiation Therapist to deliver comprehensive radiation therapy services in a busy clinic setting. This contract role provides a dynamic atmosphere where advanced technology and patient care intersect. You'll work independently as part of a skilled team managing two treatment units, serving a diverse patient population with a focus on efficiency and compassion.

Schedule/Hours:

Full-time contract position Clinic operates weekdays; holiday closures are observed and not included in guaranteed hours

Qualifications:

Valid Radiation Therapy certification from both ARRT and IEMA Previous experience in mid-to-large hospital or cancer center environments Strong independent work ethic and ability to multitask in a fast-paced clinic Outstanding communication and patient interaction abilities Detail-oriented approach for delivering precise treatment

Key Responsibilities:

Administer safe, accurate radiation treatments per physician directives Operate and maintain sophisticated treatment units within the cancer center Accurately position each patient and verify all treatment parameters prior to procedures Monitor patient responses and make necessary adjustments to treatment delivery Document all therapy activities and maintain compliance with regulatory standards Collaborate with oncologists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal care Foster a supportive, patient-centered environment, addressing patient questions and concerns
