Travel Join a fast-paced team at an area hospital in Northampton, MA where your expertise as a Radiation Therapistwill directly impact lives. From administering targeted treatments to collaborating with oncology professionals, you will play a vital role in helping patients fight cancer with confidence and compassion.
What You'll Need:
  • Associate's degree in Radiation Therapy or Radiologic Science with a certificate in Radiation Therapy from an accredited program required.
  • Registered or registry eligible by the ARRT; must obtain ARRT registration within one year of graduation from an accredited Radiation Therapy program.
  • Valid Massachusetts state Radiation Therapy license required.
  • Current American Heart Association BLS certification required.
  • Minimum of two years experience as a Radiation Therapist required.
  • Demonstrated excellent interpersonal skills required.
  • Experience operating and maintaining radiation therapy equipment and verifying treatment plans with oncology teams preferred.

Candidate may be required to float to other facilities as needed. Location Highlights Northampton offers a mix of cultural and outdoor amenities within easy reach. The city is near the Connecticut River and the Mount Tom Range, with the Northampton Rail Trail and Look Park within a short drive for outdoor recreation. Downtown Northampton features the vibrant Northampton Center for the Arts and Smith College Museum of Art, both within walking distance of restaurants and entertainment. Holyoke Range State Park and the Joseph Allen Skinner Museum are within a 20-30 minute drive, offering additional hiking and cultural options, suitable for an active or urban lifestyle with convenient regional transit connections to Springfield and Amtrak service in nearby stations.
Additional Duties:
  • Administer radiation therapy treatments as prescribed by the Radiation Oncologist in accordance with accepted practice and departmental policies.
  • Accurately position patients and ensure proper immobilization during treatment.
  • Verify treatment plans and dosage with oncology team and document treatments with accurate patient records.
  • Monitor patients for adverse reactions during and after therapy and communicate changes to the care team.
  • Maintain and operate radiation therapy equipment and participate in quality assurance activities.
