Job Description

Category Radiation Therapy Job Type Contract Take your expertise in radiation therapy into a pivotal role where skill and compassion impact patient care daily. This contract opportunity calls for a motivated, detail-oriented professional ready to make a difference in a hospital environment. You'll be working with advanced technology and contributing to a high-volume, fast-paced team providing essential oncology services.
Schedule/Hours:
Full-time, Monday through Friday; potential occasional weekend coverage as required
Qualifications:
Minimum of 2 years of experience in radiation therapy Demonstrated proficiency operating True Beam, Varian, and CyberKnife equipment Registered Radiation Therapist (ARRT) certification required Current BLS certification Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work efficiently in a high-volume setting (25-32 treatments per day) Commitment to maintaining a supportive and safe environment for patients
Responsibilities:
Deliver daily radiation treatments according to provider orders and established protocols Operate True Beam, Varian, and CyberKnife machines safely and efficiently Accurately interpret and execute treatment plans developed by radiation oncologists and dosimetrists Monitor patients' responses during treatment and promptly report any concerns or side effects Maintain detailed patient records in accordance with regulatory and hospital standards Collaborate with physicians, dosimetrists, medical physicists, and support staff to ensure continuity of care Uphold strict safety guidelines and infection control measures at all times
