1 Description American Traveler is seeking a Radiation Therapist with a Maine or compact license and a minimum of 1 year of experience for a 13-week travel assignment in a Radiation Oncology department at a Level II Trauma Center in Bangor, ME. Details Work in a Radiation Oncology department at a Level II Trauma Center and Certified Stroke Center with 411 beds Serves outpatient and inpatient populations, primarily adult and geriatric patients with very few pediatric cases Facility operates three Varian TrueBeam LINACs and one Siemens Somatom Go Open Pro CT Simulator Average patient volume is approximately 90 treatments per day across three linacs Uses Mosaiq as the EMR system; Mosaiq experience preferred Floating between linacs as needed Schedule is either five 8-hour days or four 9-hour days with one half-day for the fifth shift — 40 hours per week No weekend or on-call requirements Holiday coverage done in rotation with other techs RTO subject to manager approval Requirements Active Maine state Radiation Therapy license or compact license required Current BLS certification required ARRT (T) certification required Minimum of 1 year of Radiation Therapy experience required Mosaiq EMR experience preferred TrueBeam LINAC experience preferred Candidates must have a permanent address 100+ miles south/southwest of Bangor, ME Candidates must not have previously worked at any Northern Light Health Hospital in a permanent capacity Full SSN required for consideration Driver's license required for consideration Two professional references within the past year required for consideration, with at least one from a supervisor, manager, or director (charge nurse acceptable; peer references not accepted) Copies of all certifications required for consideration Flu vaccination required for clearance to start; medical exemptions only are accepted and subject to facility review Additional Information Open to first-time travelers Orientation is approximately 1 to 1.5 weeks depending on experience and comfort level 4-week schedules provided to the best of the facility's ability; specific shift details will vary based on departmental need Scrubs should be any solid, professional color; facility scrubs available if needed Free parking on site License required if applicable
