Schedule/Hours Travel assignment schedule:
details provided during interview Role Responsibilities Review patient prescriptions to determine required treatment and review history of prior radiation therapy. Safely position patients using appropriate immobilization devices and accessories as prescribed. Operate sophisticated equipment (linear accelerator, HDR) with precision. Administer ionizing radiation per physician orders and verify prescription accuracy before and after treatment. Document treatments thoroughly in patient charts and ensure ongoing imaging per department policies. Coordinate appointment times, assist patients with transportation and refer to social worker as needed. Refer patients to nursing or physician staff for any condition requiring further evaluation. Rotate through treatment areas and participate in simulation procedures as assigned. Maintain cleanliness and supply levels in therapy rooms. Adhere to stringent quality assurance policies (chart checks, timeouts, machine warm-up). Support the education of radiation therapy students.
