Monday
  • Friday, 7:30am
  • 5:30pm with possible extended hours and occasional call

Compensation:
    Base Pay Range:
    $35.28
    • $57.60 per hour, based on experience
    Retention Rewards:
    Up to $15,000 o
    Relocation Support:
    Additional $5,000 if moving from over 50 miles away o Retention Reward (Option 1): $2,000 per year for up to 5 years, totaling $10,000 o Student Loan Repayment (Option 2): $2,000 per year toward student loans, up to 5 years, totaling $10,000 o

    DETAILED JOB DESCRIPTION
    Follow the prescription and assure that patients receive correct treatment. Prepare or set up treatment field and deliver the treatment. Observe and/or photograph patients for response and reaction to radiation or symptoms indicating change in the disease process and reporting abnormal changes to physician. Obtain and record machine quality assurance data. Calculate and verify dosages to be administered to all patients; perform computer dosimetry. Schedule supportive procedures under direction of medical physicist. Perform simulation or port imaging procedures with necessary film set up and film development. Document treatment in patient chart. Build molds, casts, or lead field limiting devices as required. Act as clinical instructor for student radiologic technologists. Ensure necessary information is available prior to treating a patient, e.g., a prescription, a patient's consent, checking of calculations. May complete unit/department specific duties and expectations as outlined in department documents.
    REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS ARRT
    certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT). Radiation Therapy (ARRT-T) certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) within two (2) years as a condition of continued employment in this job classification. One (1) year of experience in radiation therapy, or practice experience as a part of training.
    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
    Additional license/certification requirements as determined by the hiring department.
    PHYSICAL DEMANDS
    The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met with or without reasonable accommodation. The performance of these physical demands is an essential function of the job. This position is very active and may require ambulating, remaining in a stationary position and positioning self to reach and/or move objects above the shoulders and below the knees. The employee may frequently lift and/or move objects up to 10 lbs. and occasionally move objects up to 25 lbs. This role may also routinely come into contact with patients who may have contagious illnesses. This position is in a health care facility open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Rotating shifts as well as holiday and work during inclement weather will be required. #zrallied #
