In the Radiation Oncology service line, the Registered Radiation Therapist will thrive in a high-precision environment within a comprehensive cancer program; the hospital is a premier regional referral center, offering over 32 medical specialties, including the only Level II Trauma Center in the region, and radiation oncology offers accredited, high-precision cancer treatment, including IMRT and Varian Edge™ technology, enabling the Radiation Oncology Therapist to deliver image-guided treatments with exceptional accuracy while supporting patients through simulation, daily treatments, and compassionate education.
Reporting to the Radiation Oncology Manager and collaborating closely with Radiation Oncologists, Medical Physicists, Dosimetrists, and Oncology RNs, the Registered Radiation Therapist will find friendly nurses and a diverse healthcare professional team committed to safe, efficient care; responsibilities for the Radiation Therapist include CT simulation, treatment planning support, daily image guidance, QA checks, clear documentation in an optimized EHR, participation in safety huddles and Just Culture processes, and ongoing protocol refinement alongside a cohesive care team that values mentorship, teaching opportunities, and evidence-based practice.
