Schedule/Hours:
Flexible hours, designed to accommodate travelers' work-life balance.Key Responsibilities:
Deliver the prescribed course of radiation therapy safely and accurately, operating treatment units independently. Maintain continuous patient communication during treatment for maximum safety and comfort. Daily and monthly QA for linac and CT, including SBRT, IGRT, and portal imaging. Perform patient CT/Simulation in line with department protocols; construct immobilization devices and utilize IV contrast as needed. Accurately complete respiratory gating, simulation for SBRT, electron and cerrobend block construction, and MOSAIQ assessments. Provide leadership as Lead CT Therapist, training staff on complex simulation processes and ensuring streamlined documentation. Maintain thorough and accurate treatment records, verify all treatment planning details, and participate in quality activities such as chart rounds. Adhere to department safety standards, ALARA principle, and correct procedure for body mechanics and equipment use.Ideal Qualifications:
Proven experience as a Radiation Therapist, preferably in a variety of clinical settings. Advanced skills in CT/Simulation, SBRT, IGRT, and QA processes. Deep understanding of MOSAIQ and experience with EMR systems in radiation oncology. Demonstrated leadership in training or mentoring other therapists is a plus.
