1 Description American Traveler seeks a Radiation Therapist with a NY state license and 2+ years of experience for a 13-week travel contract in a hospital Radiation Oncology department in Albany, NY. Details Hospital Radiation Oncology department setting Day shift schedule, 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM Uses Varian TrueBeam and Varian 21ix linear accelerators Epic EMR experience required 13-week contract Requirements Active NY State Radiation Therapist license required at time of consideration (license required if applicable) Current ARRT certification required; must be issued by AHA or RQI Minimum 2 years of recent Radiation Therapy experience Epic EMR experience required Graduate of an AMA-approved Radiation Therapy Technology program US Social Security Number required No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months Flu vaccination required; only medical exemptions signed by a licensed professional are accepted — personal and religious declinations are not accepted Additional Information Administer ionizing radiation and radioactive substances to patients under the supervision of a Radiation Oncologist and in accordance with NYSDOH Part 16 guidelines Accurately interpret computerized treatment plans and enter and maintain patient treatment parameters in the EMR Monitor patients daily for reactions and report any adverse reactions to the Radiation Oncology Nurse or Radiation Oncologist Adhere to NYSDOH, ARRT, and ACRO radiation safety protocols Candidates residing in the following NY counties are not eligible for this position: Albany, Columbia, Dutchess, Fulton, Greene, Montgomery, Rensselaer, Saratoga, Schenectady, Ulster, Warren, and Washington RTO must be requested at time of submission No blocked scheduling permitted More than 3 call-outs in a 13-week period may result in contract termination; make-up shifts must be completed within 6 weeks of the last call-out
