- Full-time Radiation Therapist Oncology Buckeye Lake, Ohio | $74,000 to $99,000 per year (depending on experience) This is a full-time Radiation Therapist opportunity with a not-for-profit integrated healthcare system in east central Ohio, recognized among Forbes' top 100 hospitals nationally.
The position is based in the Radiation Oncology department and reports to the Radiation Oncology Manager. The department team includes one clinical manager, one RN, two physicists, two dosimetrists, and five staff radiation therapists. Schedule Full-time, 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. No weekends, no on-call, and no holiday rotation. Compensation $74,000 to $99,000 per year, depending on experience. What You'll Do In this role, you will accurately administer photon and electron radiation treatments under the direction of the radiation oncologist and in accordance with department policies and the treating physician's prescription. You will assist with brachytherapy procedures as directed and perform treatment simulations in preparation for radiation therapy delivery. You will construct shielding blocks, verify patient treatment orders through proper documentation, and maintain accurate records of all duties performed. You will operate imaging, therapeutic, and related medical equipment safely and competently, and participate in department quality assurance activities on an ongoing basis. Patient assessment is part of the daily workflow, and you will provide education and information to patients and their families throughout the treatment process. Prioritizing workload to complete assigned tasks within scheduled treatment windows is expected in this role. Cross-training in other areas of the department to support operational efficiency is encouraged. Required Qualifications Completion of an AMA-accredited Radiation Therapy program Current registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists in Radiation Therapy (ARRT RTT) Active Ohio Radiation Therapist license (LRTT) in good standing, or ability to obtain prior to start date Minimum of two years of clinical radiation therapy experience Demonstrated proficiency in photon and electron treatment delivery Experience with simulation, shielding block construction, and quality assurance protocols Preferred Qualifications Experience with Varian TrueBeam and Trilogy linear accelerators Experience with Varian Aria oncology information system Familiarity with brachytherapy procedures Experience in a multi-physician or academic-affiliated radiation oncology department CPR or BLS certification Compensation and Benefits $74,000 to $99,000 per year, based on experience Medical, dental, and vision insurance 401(k) or retirement plan Paid time off Full benefits package as offered by the organization To Apply Submit your application through this posting.
