Radiation Therapist

Qualifications:

Completion of an approved Radiation Therapy Training Program. Current ARRT (T) license specific to Radiation Therapy. Valid Radiation Therapist license from the Ohio Department of Health. 3-5 years of experience in radiation therapy with training in simulation and planning. Bachelor's degree in related field preferred. Current American Heart Association Healthcare Provider (BLS) certification required.

Hours and Compensation:

Full-time position, Monday to Friday, 7am-3:30pm (on-call rotation 1 week on, 2 weeks off). No weekends or holidays. Salary range between 84K-107K based on experience. Full benefits package with a 15K sign-on bonus.

Responsibilities:

Perform radiation therapist duties and assigned administrative tasks under the direction of the department director. Review, write, and update radiation policies and procedures. Educate staff on policies, procedures, and ODH requirements. Ensure equipment quality checks are completed and logged, and equipment is in safe working condition. Chair and document radiation therapy Quality Assurance and Improvement meetings. Assist in developing QA/QI plans and meeting Commission on Cancer standards. Coordinate patient care based on individual needs. Assist in staff selection, training, and orientation. Stay current on radiation oncology billing procedures and assist with edits and audits. Assist physicist with quality and safety requirements and implement electronic medical record usage. Demonstrate expertise in therapy equipment, including linear accelerator, patient protection devices, patient information systems, CT Simulation Unit, and Portal Vision.
