1 Description American Traveler is seeking a Radiation Therapist I for a hospital-based Radiation Therapy department in Oklahoma City, OK, requiring a minimum of 1 year of experience and graduation from a CAAHEP•or JRCERT-accredited program. Details Hospital-based Radiation Therapy department serving adult and/or pediatric patient populations Performs diagnostic, interventional, and/or surgical procedures using specialized cardiovascular and/or radiologic equipment across a variety of care settings including acute inpatient, outpatient, diagnostic/urgent care, and remote outreach clinics Day shift, 8 hours per day, 5 days per week, 40 hours per week 13-week contract Requirements Graduate of a CAAHEP-accredited program with emphasis in a primary cardiovascular specialty, or a JRCERT-accredited program with emphasis in radiologic technology Associate's degree or higher required Active RN license required if applicable AHA BLS required ARDMS, ARRT, or CCI certification in the applicable cardiovascular or radiologic technology specialty required (must be achieved within 12 months of hire) All certifications must be from AHA only Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience required Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible Full DOB required for consideration Additional Information Provides patient-centric care under routine or emergent conditions, preparing patients for procedures and correlating clinical history with physician-ordered procedures Communicates and collaborates with patients, families, and the multidisciplinary care team to achieve clinical outcomes and service expectations Performs post-procedure review to confirm documentation completeness and technical quality consistent with department protocols and accreditation standards Transfers images and data to archival systems and prepares studies for physician reporting Conducts operator-level quality control, cleaning, and equipment maintenance per manufacturer and regulatory guidelines Works under immediate to general supervision of a mentor/preceptor in this entry-level role Travelers who have previously worked at this facility may extend one time for a maximum of 26 total weeks; a 6-month separation is required before becoming eligible for another contract Compliance with onboarding requirements (background check, drug screen, medical requirements) is strictly enforced and must begin immediately upon booking — non-compliance may result in cancellation
