Job Description

Category Radiation Therapy - Radiation Therapist Job Type Contract Deliver essential care as a key member of the clinical radiation oncology team. This contract opportunity is designed for a dedicated professional with expertise in administering radiation treatments and providing compassionate care to patients.
Qualifications:
Valid certification as a Radiation Therapist (ARRT required) Demonstrated experience operating modern radiation therapy equipment and performing quality assurance checks Comprehensive understanding of radiation safety protocols and patient care procedures Effective communication skills for interacting with patients, families, and clinical staff Strong attention to detail and ability to follow physician instructions accurately Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
Responsibilities:
Administer prescribed radiation therapy treatments according to oncologist instructions and treatment plans Utilize advanced imaging and alignment techniques to ensure precise treatment delivery Monitor patients during sessions, assess for side effects, and report any concerns to physicians Maintain accurate treatment records and update documentation as required Operate and maintain radiation therapy equipment, performing daily checks for safety and calibration Educate patients and their families on the treatment plan, expected outcomes, and post-treatment care Adhere to all institutional, state, and federal regulations regarding radiation therapy and patient safety This role offers an exciting chance to contribute your expertise in a highly supportive and modern healthcare environment.
