Job Description

Bachelor's degree, Certification in Radiologic Technology (ARRT Certification), and minimum 1+ years Radiation Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. Leverage your expertise in radiation therapy to make a meaningful impact in patient care. This contract opportunity focuses on safely and effectively delivering ionizing radiation as prescribed by a Radiation Oncologist, while collaborating closely with multidisciplinary oncology professionals.
Key Qualifications:
Current ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification is required. Must hold a valid Maryland license to practice radiation therapy. BLS certification is mandatory. Solid understanding of radiation oncology equipment, treatment planning, and safe radiation practices. Demonstrated ability to work cooperatively with medical physicists, dosimetrists, and oncologists.
Primary Responsibilities:
Administer prescribed doses of ionizing radiation to patients, following the treatment plan set by the Radiation Oncologist. Assist in planning and simulation of radiotherapy treatments in collaboration with the medical team. Carefully document treatment parameters and patient responses in accordance with regulatory standards. Operate treatment machines and related medical equipment, ensuring safety and accuracy at all stages. Provide compassionate support and clear communication to patients throughout their treatment process. Practice strict adherence to radiation safety protocols for patient and staff protection.
