Schedule/Hours:
May require taking call and/or working weekends/holidays depending on department needs
Qualifications & Experience Desired:
Completion of an accredited Radiation Therapy program or equivalent Valid ARRT (Radiation Therapy) certification Experience with external beam and radioactive element therapy preferred Proficiency in operating and maintaining therapeutic radiation equipment Strong patient care, communication, and documentation skills Ability to work autonomously and adapt in high-stress or urgent situations Demonstrated professionalism and commitment to confidentiality
Role Responsibilities:
Deliver prescribed courses of radiation therapy and ensure accurate patient setup and dosing Perform clinical simulations and fabricate custom immobilization devices as directed Maintain thorough and precise electronic medical records, including dose totals and use of treatment aids Offer clear explanations of procedures, making treatments as comfortable as possible for patients and addressing their questions compassionately Collaborate daily with physicians, therapists, physicists, and nursing staff; occasionally interact with vendors or the public Ensure strict adherence to radiation safety protocols and infection control standards
