1 Description American Traveler seeks a Radiation Therapist with active TX licensure and a minimum of 2 years of experience for an 8-week travel contract at an outpatient Radiation Oncology department in College Station, TX. Details Outpatient Radiation Oncology department setting in College Station, TX Standard schedule is 5x8s, Monday-Friday, 0800-1700; however, candidates must be flexible as department hours are being extended with the addition of a new provider — daily start and end times may shift based on scheduled appointments Ambulatory and hospital patient population spanning newborn through geriatric age groups Experience with TrueBeam and Vision RT equipment utilized in this department Requirements Active TX-MRT license required if applicable Current ARRT (T) certification required Current BLS certification (AHA only) required Minimum of 2 years of radiation therapy experience Experience with TrueBeam and Vision RT strongly preferred 2 professional references required for consideration Flu vaccination is mandatory; no exemptions are granted Date of birth and SSN required for consideration Additional Information Perform high-quality radiation therapy procedures in accordance with established exam protocols Position, prepare, and adjust immobilization devices and equipment controls for each patient treatment Communicate effectively with patients and families using AIDET to explain procedures, assess tolerance, and establish rapport Maintain accurate treatment and imaging records in the appropriate system per department standards Collaborate with engineers and physicists to ensure optimal equipment performance and assist with supply inventory Adhere to radiation safety, infection control, and sterile technique requirements May serve as preceptor for new team members Call may be required based on departmental need Black scrubs required Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible — no local travelers accepted Candidates who have previously worked as a permanent employee at any facility in this health system should be aware that eligibility may require additional verification prior to consideration
