Job Description

Category Radiation Therapy Job Type Contract Seeking an experienced Radiation Therapist to provide exceptional care in an advanced oncology setting. This contract opportunity requires an immediate start and offers the chance to work with cutting-edge Varian Truebeam/Aria systems. The role emphasizes expert skills in precision radiation delivery and patient-centered care.
Schedule/Hours:
Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. (5x8 hour shifts)
Essential Qualifications:
Minimum 2 years of full-time experience in radiation therapy Proficiency operating Varian Truebeam/Aria equipment Active Virginia Radiation Therapist license (must be obtained prior to start) Ability to start as soon as possible Commitment to complete a two-stage interview process: initial interview via Teams, followed by an in-person round (facility covers all travel and lodging-related expenses for the on-site interview)
Primary Responsibilities:
Administer precise, prescribed doses of radiation as directed by oncology physicians Accurately operate and monitor radiation therapy equipment, ensuring strict compliance with safety protocols Deliver patient education regarding treatment procedures, expectations, and post-therapy care Collaborate with medical physicists, dosimetrists, and nursing staff to coordinate comprehensive oncology treatment plans Document all treatment procedures, maintaining meticulous records of patient data and progress
