Job Description

Category Radiation Therapy - Radiation Therapist Job Type Contract Deliver essential care and expertise in a healthcare environment dedicated to cancer treatment and patient support. Work closely with a multidisciplinary team to provide safe and effective radiation therapy services to individuals undergoing cancer therapy.
Qualifications:
Current certification as a Radiation Therapist (ARRT) Valid state licensure as required Proven competency in delivering radiation therapy treatments in a clinical setting Experience with radiation therapy equipment, software, and patient setup Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with patients and team members Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Responsibilities:
Administer prescribed radiation therapy treatments to patients, ensuring accuracy and patient safety Operate complex radiotherapy equipment, including linear accelerators, following precise protocols Collaborate with radiation oncologists, dosimetrists, and nurses to deliver seamless, coordinated care Prepare patients for treatment, provide clear instructions, and respond compassionately to their needs and questions Monitor patient responses and adjust treatment protocols as needed Maintain patient records accurately and report progress or concerns to the appropriate medical staff Adhere to all safety standards related to radiation exposure and infection control Participate in continuing education and training initiatives to maintain certification and stay current with technological advancements This is a contract role offering the opportunity to make a significant impact within a highly respected oncology department.
