Category Radiation Therapy - Radiation Therapist Job Type Contract Experienced radiation therapists are needed to deliver high-quality therapeutic care in a dynamic oncology environment. This contract opportunity calls for professionals skilled in administering radiation treatments, supporting oncology patients, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to achieve the best patient outcomes.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
Valid certification as a Radiation Therapist (ARRT certified) Registered or licensed (as required by state law) Demonstrated experience operating advanced linear accelerators and treatment planning systems Ability to provide compassionate patient care, including clear communication and emotional support Strong attention to accuracy and safety protocols in a fast-paced clinical setting Reliable documentation and reporting skills Previous experience in a hospital or outpatient radiation oncology department preferred
Schedule:
Full-time, contract-based hours
Key Responsibilities:
Accurately deliver prescribed radiation therapy treatments as outlined by oncologists Prepare and position patients for therapy, ensuring comfort and safety throughout the process Conduct safety and quality assurance checks on radiation equipment each day before use Maintain meticulous treatment documentation and assist with treatment planning when required Educate patients and their families on treatment procedures, addressing questions and concerns Monitor patients for adverse reactions or complications, reporting any concerns promptly Collaborate regularly with physicians, dosimetrists, physicists, and nurses for optimal treatment coordination
