Key Qualifications:
Valid and current ARRT certification in Radiation Therapy Completion of an accredited Radiation Therapy program State licensure as required for radiation therapy Prior experience as a Radiation Therapist in a hospital or clinical environment Strong knowledge of radiation safety protocols and treatment delivery techniques Excellent interpersonal skills for effective communication with patients and care teams Proficiency with linear accelerators and modern radiotherapy equipment Attention to detail, accuracy, and ability to follow precise treatment plans
Primary Responsibilities:
Administer radiation therapy treatments as prescribed by radiation oncologists Accurately position patients for treatment, ensuring comfort and safety Operate and maintain radiation therapy equipment in accordance with established procedures Document all treatments and observations in patient records with accuracy and completeness Monitor patient responses and report any side effects or concerns to the medical team Collaborate with dosimetrists, medical physicists, and other healthcare staff to deliver optimal care Uphold strict safety standards and Department of Health regulations
