As a Radiation Therapist, you will play a vital role in supporting oncology patients through accurate and compassionate delivery of radiation treatments. Key Responsibilities:
Administer prescribed radiation therapy treatments utilizing advanced equipment Accurately interpret and implement treatment plans provided by radiation oncologists Monitor patient responses and provide clear communication regarding procedures and expected outcomes Maintain meticulous records of administered doses, treatment areas, and patient reactions Ensure all radiation therapy procedures comply with safety regulations and established protocols Support patients' emotional and physical needs throughout their course of treatment Collaborate with medical physicists, dosimetrists, and other oncology team members for coordinated patient care
Qualifications:
Accredited Radiation Therapy program completion required Valid ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification in Radiation Therapy State licensure in Radiation Therapy (if applicable) Experience operating linear accelerators and related technology preferred Strong organizational skills with a detail-oriented approach Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities Compassionate demeanor and the ability to provide supportive patient care This contract position offers a rewarding professional experience within a well-equipped treatment environment, working alongside knowledgeable and supportive colleagues who share your dedication to patient care.
