Job Description

Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Radiation Therapist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in the treatment of patients undergoing radiation therapy, ensuring their safety and comfort throughout the process. This position requires a strong understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology, as well as proficiency in radiation therapy techniques and medical imaging.

  • Responsibilities Administer radiation treatments to patients according to prescribed protocols.
Collaborate with oncologists and other healthcare professionals to develop effective treatment plans. Prepare and maintain accurate patient records, documenting treatment progress and any side effects. Utilize advanced medical imaging technologies, including CT scans, to assist in treatment planning. Educate patients about the radiation therapy process, addressing any concerns or questions they may have. Monitor patients during treatment sessions for any adverse reactions or complications. Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations related to radiation exposure. Maintain equipment and assist in quality assurance procedures. Qualifications Certification from an accredited radiation therapy program. Washington State license in Radiation Therapy Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology is essential. Strong understanding of acute care practices and radiation therapy techniques. Proficiency in using medical imaging equipment such as CT scanners. Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients and healthcare team members. Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
