1 Description American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist for a night shift contract role at a 492-bed Level II Trauma Center in Montgomery, AL, requiring ARRT-CT certification and experience in trauma, angiogram, and stroke perfusion procedures. Details Inpatient and outpatient setting serving adult patients and occasional pediatric patients (outpatients/ED) at a 492-bed Level II Trauma Center and Primary Stroke Center Radiology department with potential to float to different areas within the department throughout the hospital 1:1 patient ratio with an average of 4 patients per hour (~40 patients per day) Procedures include biopsy drainage, trauma, angiograms, and stroke perfusion studies All GE CT equipment; EMR is Cerner 10-hour night shifts, 9:00 PM - 7:30 AM, Monday through Thursday (40 hours/week) Weekend rotation varies, typically once a month but subject to change based on departmental needs On-call is voluntary One major and one minor seasonal holiday coverage required per facility policy Requirements Current BLS and ARRT certifications required ARRT-CT certification required AL state license preferred; license required if applicable Minimum of 1 year of CT experience considered if skills are strong; first-time travelers considered with at least 2 years of relevant experience Proficiency in CT biopsy drainage, trauma, and angiogram procedures required Stroke perfusion experience strongly preferred Additional Information Works alongside 2 CT techs and an assistant per shift Orientation consists of one 8-hour hospital orientation followed by 2-3 shifts on the unit (dayshift with another tech) Candidates must reside more than 60 miles from the facility to be eligible Former permanent staff must wait 6 months before being considered as a traveler Requests for more than 7 days off require manager email approval; contract extension may be required to accommodate time off Any color scrubs are acceptable Free parking is available on-site A reference from a charge nurse or above from the past 12 months is required for consideration, along with a copy of certifications and DOB (day and month)
