Category Imaging - CT Job Type Contract Experienced
CT / CT-PET
Technologists are needed for a contract opportunity in Prattville, AL, supporting a Level II Trauma Center with 492 beds. This role involves working a focused schedule of three 12-hour shifts, Friday through Sunday, in a high-acuity hospital environment that also features a Level III NICU and Primary Stroke Center designation.Key Responsibilities:
Perform advanced CT imaging including biopsies, drainage, trauma assessments, angiograms, and stroke perfusion studies. Work within the main Radiology department, supporting inpatient and outpatient adult populations, with occasional pediatric cases in the ED. Utilize GE CT equipment and Cerner EMR systems efficiently. Provide 1:1 patient care, managing an average caseload of 4 patients per hour. Float across various departmental areas to meet facility needs. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes. Complete hospital orientation including 1 eight-hour session plus 2-3 days on unit shadowing.Qualifications:
ARRT certification and BLS required; ARRT-CT certification mandatory. State licensure preferred. Minimum 2 years of strong CT experience required for first-time travelers; 1 year experience considered for travelers with proven skills. Expertise in trauma imaging and angiogram procedures essential. Stroke perfusion experience strongly preferred.Scheduling & Shift Details:
3 shifts of 12 hours each, Friday through Sunday. One major and one minor seasonal holiday per policy; holiday shifts not guaranteed off. Weekend rotation typically once per month. Voluntary on-call participation.Location Insight:
