Job Description

Category Imaging - CT Job Type Contract Join a healthcare facility in Prattville, AL, as a CT/PET Technologist specializing in advanced imaging techniques. This contract position offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic Level II Trauma Center with a Level III NICU and Primary Stroke Center, serving inpatient and outpatient populations, including adults and occasional pediatric patients. The role involves utilizing GE CT technology in a fast-paced environment with diverse imaging procedures such as biopsy drainage, trauma, angiogram, and stroke perfusion studies.
Position Details:
Shift:
Three 12-hour shifts, Friday through
Sunday Schedule:
Weekend-focused, supporting departmental needs
Patient Ratio:
Approximately 1:1 with an average of 4 patients per hour
Floating:
Yes, throughout various areas within the Radiology department
Qualifications and Experience:
ARRT certification required; CT (ARRT-CT) certification mandatory State licensure preferred Minimum 2 years of experience, ideally with strong CT skills including biopsy drainage, trauma, angiogram Stroke perfusion experience highly preferred Current BLS certification Proficiency with EMR systems, specifically

Perform CT and PET imaging, ensuring high-quality patient care and imaging results Work flexibly across multiple areas within the Radiology department Participate in a thorough orientation including hospital and unit-specific training Adhere to hospital policies including holiday and on-call scheduling The setting provides a supportive environment with a 492-bed hospital equipped for advanced trauma and neonatal care. The Radiology department utilizes the latest GE CT equipment, positioning you to contribute to critical diagnostic services in a Level II Trauma Center.
