Job Description

Category Imaging - CT Job Type Contract Deliver expert imaging services as a CT/PET Technologist in a busy 492-bed Level II Trauma Center and Primary Stroke Center. This contract opportunity offers a specialized weekend shift with 3 consecutive 12-hour days (Friday through Sunday), focusing on both inpatient and outpatient care across adult and pediatric patients. Work with advanced GE CT equipment and participate in a dynamic, multidisciplinary radiology team.
Responsibilities:
Perform diagnostic and interventional CT imaging, including biopsies, drainages, trauma scans, angiograms, and stroke perfusion studies. Provide high-quality imaging services for inpatient and outpatient settings, maintaining a typical patient load of 4 scans per hour. Collaborate with clinical teams to assist in patient care, ensuring safety and accuracy. Utilize the Cerner EMR system for documentation and reporting. Float throughout the hospital's radiology department as needed, supporting varied patient care areas. Participate in a thorough orientation blending hospital procedures and hands-on training with experienced technologists.
Qualifications:
ARRT certified in Radiologic Technology and CT (ARRT-CT required). Current BLS certification required. State licensure preferred. Minimum 2 years of experience with CT imaging, particularly skilled in biopsy, trauma, angiogram, and stroke protocols. Ability to handle a 1:1 patient ratio and manage up to 40 patients per shift efficiently. Experience with both adult and pediatric patient imaging preferred.
Schedule/Hours:
3 consecutive 12-hour shifts, Friday through Sunday. No night back-up (NBO) required. Holiday shifts include one major and one minor seasonal holiday per policy (scheduling not guaranteed off). Voluntary on-call opportunities available.
