Summary of Job Duties:
The Mammography Technologist will be responsible for producing quality images and providing patient care in the UAMS Breast Center.
Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications:
High School Diploma/GED Plus Graduation from an approved Radiology program Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in Mammography Licensed by the State of Arkansas in Radiology
Preferred Qualifications:
1 - 3 years of Mammography Technologist experience

Responsibilities:
Operates specialized radiologic equipment to perform high-quality breast imaging exams, including mammography and breast ultrasounds. Maintains an adequate level of supplies and keeps the workspace clean. Communicates mammography exam procedures to patients and enlists patient cooperation in positioning for radiological examination. Provides patient education regarding mammography and breast health. Assists with records management and scheduling appointments. Obtains patient history and enters into Electronic Medical Records (EMR). Schedules exams and reviews previous records to determine correct studies are performed. Ensures exams are completed, and images are in Picture Archiving and Communication (PACS)...
