Typical Hours vary with position (i.e. 12 hour shifts rotating days or 8 hours days Monday through Friday)All positions require call 7:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. with 24-hour call on weekends and holidays.

Jefferson Regional CT Scan Department Job Summary:

The CT Technologist is responsible for performing a variety of CT exams and related procedures at a technical level by utilizing the appropriate equipment to perform high quality imaging. This position is also responsible for following established standards and procedures, and reviewing images to determine adjustment for optimum results. The CT Technologist will participate in Quality Improvement work groups as requested.

CT Technologist Qualifications:

High School diploma or equivalent required. Technical Diploma or Associates Degree in Radiologic Technology required.

Bachelors Degree in Science/Radiology/Other related field preferred.

Graduate from an AMA accredited Radiologic Technology Program.

American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) required.

Arkansas Department of Health Radiologic Technologist requiredAmerican Registry of Computed Tomography preferred.

BLS/CPR required upon hire or obtain within 30 days of hire. This is a safety sensitive position.•Minimum RequirementsStrong technical skills as a radiologic technologistKnowledgeable in radiologic procedures.

Attention to detail and the ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast paced department in the hospitalExcellent interpersonal and communication skills to interact with patients, families, and healthcare professionals. Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a healthcare teamDetail-oriented with strong analytical and problem solving skillsComfortable working with diverse patient populationFlexibility to work varying shifts, including nights, weekends, and on-call rotations if required. (Thirty-minute response time for callback.)Preferred RequirementsMinimum of one year (1) experience as a staff technologist or tech extern Three years (3) Clinical experiencePrior experience in performing CT scans, preferably in a hospital or clinical settingCross-sectional anatomy, medical terminology, possesses generalized skill in medical imaging/ CT, general and other special procedures that are performed within the department. Able to send and receive digital images by disc or electronically through various imaging software and electronic health record
