Job Description
Radiologic Technologist Per Diem Job Summary We are seeking Per Diem Radiologic Technologists to join our team! Position supports both imaging facilities located on the Northwest and the East side of Tucson. This role performs routine diagnostic radiographic procedures while providing excellent patient care in a fast-paced outpatient environment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Radiation Technology- Perform routine radiographic procedures with proper patient positioning and accurate equipment settings.
- Adhere to radiation safety principles, including ALARA , and appropriately use radiation protection and shielding.
- Follows physician orders precisely and clearly communicates instructions to patients.
- Monitors equipment and adheres to protocol for investigating deviations and corrective action.
- Comply to
OSHA/CLIA
guidelines regarding universal precautions, biohazardous safety and infection control. Administrative- Demonstrates thorough knowledge of ACP policies and procedures related to radiology services.
- Accurately complete x‑ray requisitions, documentation, consent forms, and waivers while maintaining patient confidentiality.
- Order and maintain supplies.
- Maintain complete and accurate equipment quality control and maintenance records.
- Support efficient patient flow by reviewing schedules and prioritizing procedures appropriately.
- Demonstrate competency with office equipment and systems including computers, printers, fax machines, copiers, and telephone systems.
- Follow established protocols for troubleshooting and reporting hardware or software issues. Customer Service
- Promote excellence in patient relations and customer service with emphasis on safety, compassion, responsiveness, respect, and courtesy.
- Greet patients professionally and ensure patient privacy during examinations.
- Use active listening skills to assess patient needs and confirm understanding.

- Work respectfully and collaboratively with physicians, technologists and staff to achieve shared goals.

- Adapts to changes in job responsibilities or workflow. Physical Requirements and Working Conditions
- Frequent standing, walking, bending, stooping, stretching, and lifting within a confined area.
- Full range of body motion required for safely assisting and positioning patients. Requires manual dexterity, finger dexterity and eye-hand coordination.
- Occasional lifting, pulling, pushing, and carrying items weighing up to 30 pounds (medical records, supplies, carts, equipment).
- Routine exposure to radiation and bodily fluids and tissue. Required Education and Licensure
- Completion of an ARRT-approved Radiologic Technology program.
- Current ARRT certification.
- Current Arizona state licensure (ADHS).
- Current CPR certification.
