Job Description

Overview NaphCare is hiring a Radiology Technologist to join our team of medical professionals in Tucson, Arizona where we manage all aspects of healthcare for the individuals who are currently incarcerated in the Pima County Detention Center . We currently have a Part Time 20 hours per week position available! As a Correctional Radiology Technologist you will work alongside correctional officers and other medical professionals to perform diagnostic x-ray procedures on patients within the facility. This is a unique position where you can make a difference to this diverse population of patients with complex medical needs. Responsibilities The Radiology Technologist is responsible for performing diagnostic x-rays for various body structures, following physician orders. Duties and responsibilities may include and are not limited to: Pulling, filing, and scanning all radiological records Scheduling, performing, and documenting all radiological testing, including annual tuberculosis testing and emergency procedures Maintaining inventory, stocking, re-ordering, and replacing radiology supplies Ensure that all equipment related to radiology services is properly maintained and functioning Ensure all state regulations comply with Radiation Control Programs Qualifications Experience / Requirements / Qualifications Must be a graduate of an accredited JCERT program Must possess an active BLS Certification (AHA required) Must pass the facility's criminal background check and drug screening Proficiency in operating various types of x-ray equipment and other imaging technologies is crucial. Ability to maintain confidentiality of all proprietary and/or confidential information Excellent communication skills are essential for interacting with patients, staff, and physicians Able to work independently and in a team Ability to analyze data and solve problems independently. Integrity, professionalism and ability to adhere to a Code of Conduct and comply with all facility(s) correctional healthcare policies, procedures, and legal requirements
Physical Capabilities:
Must have the ability to stand for long periods, lift and move patients (up to 50 pounds), bend, squat, reach, push, pull, walk significant distances, and perform physically demanding tasks like CPR, all while maintaining good balance and endurance throughout a shift.
