Job Description

UNITED MEDICAL IMAGING
We are a large Imaging group, with 30 locations in Southern California, proud leading providers of quality healthcare to the community. Our centers are equipped to treat diagnostics, traumatic, and life-threatening injuries with caring and innovative team of healthcare professionals dedicated to enthusiastically improving the health and quality of life of the people we serv e. We are looking for an experienced Mammography Technologist to work at the clinical direction of the Radiologist/Team Leader, and the administrative direction of the Site Manager, to independently perform breast imaging procedures. Primary Duties and Responsibilities 1. Perform routine and complex breast imaging and examination procedures following company guidelines. 2. Perform required quality assurance procedures at the designated intervals as appropriate. 3. Instruct and review technical performance of diagnostic technologists, assisting as needed. Instruct patients in breast self examinations as required. 4. Consistently ensure good patient care, comfort, safety, and confidentiality. 5. Maintain a second Mammography registry with the ARRT by annually accruing five ECE's specific to Mammography education. Demonstrate competency in the use of all applicable aspects of the CIS, RIS, and PACS. 6. Perform other duties as assigned and/or work in various work areas to meet company staffing needs. Qualifications Graduate of an AMA approved school of Radiologic Technology Registered with the ARRT, in addition to certification in Mammography with the ARRT Digital Mammography experience is a Must! Requirements The ideal candidate will have strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to interact effectively with doctors, patients, peers and management. Minimum of two years of clinical Mammography experience Certification in Basic Life Support Must have valid Drivers License
