About the Role We're hiring a part-time, full-scope X-Ray Technologist to join our clinical team. "Full-scope" means you're comfortable imaging across the full range of routine radiographic studies — chest, extremities, spine, abdomen, and pediatric to geriatric patients — in support of our primary care, urgent care, and sports medicine providers. Our strongest candidates bring more than imaging. We're a tight-knit clinical team that thrives on cross-trained staff, so medical assistant experience is a significant plus. New graduates are welcome to apply if you bring MA skills to round out your X-ray experience — we'll mentor you on the rest. What You'll DoX-Ray (primary responsibility) Perform the full scope of routine diagnostic X-ray exams across primary care, urgent care, and sports medicine cases Position patients accurately and produce high-quality images on the first attempt Follow strict radiation safety protocols (ALARA), including proper shielding and personal protection Explain procedures, answer questions, and help patients of all ages feel at ease Maintain imaging equipment, manage supplies, and keep imaging areas clean and compliant Medical Assistant support Room patients, take vital signs, and document chief complaints and medical history Assist providers during exams and procedures (splinting/casting, joint injections, laceration repair, etc.) Administer injections and prepare patients for treatments per provider orders Clean and stock exam and treatment rooms General Accurately document patient encounters in the EMR Support scheduling, intake, and light front-office tasks as needed Assist with basic lab or specimen handling as needed Follow all HIPAA, OSHA, and infection-control standards What We're Looking ForRequired Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program X-Ray Technologist certification (ARRT or registry-eligible) California state X-ray license (CRT) — current or in progress Current BLS/CPR certification (or willing to obtain before start date) Comfort performing the full range of routine X-ray studies Warm, patient-first demeanor and strong communication skills Strongly Preferred Medical Assistant experience or MA certification (CMA, RMA, CCMA, or equivalent) Experience in urgent care, primary care, or a multi-specialty outpatient setting Familiarity with EMR systems and patient management software Nice to Have Phlebotomy or lab experience (CPT-1 a plus) Bilingual (English/Spanish or other) Interest in integrative or whole-person care Why Join Us Full-scope role with variety: imaging plus hands-on MA work Be part of a unique practice blending conventional, urgent, and integrative medicine Two beautiful San Diego locations: Encinitas and Rancho Santa Fe Mission-driven team that treats patients like family Mentorship for newer techs who bring cross-trained skills Predictable part-time schedule that supports work-life balance How to Apply Submit your resume through Indeed.
