Position Summary The Radiologic Technologist is a licensed healthcare professional who performs diagnostic imaging examinations and administers radiation therapy treatments. Using their expertise in anatomy, patient positioning, examination techniques, equipment protocols, and radiation safety, they utilize technologies to capture images of internal organs, bones, and tissue that maybe damaged or at risk of disease. The images that are captured are used by the care team (i.e. Physicians, Radiologists, and other staff members) to diagnose and treat various patient care needs. Essential Functions and Responsibilities of the Job Produces quality images to ensure patient care needs are addressed. Effectively communicates all pertinent patient information to the radiologist for the purposes of streamlined continuity of care. Evaluates and prioritizes the requests of care team member such as physicians, patients, and other staff to delivery clear communication to the patient and their family. Identifies opportunities for improvement in performance techniques, to continuously improve the quality and efficiency of patient care. Delivers excellent customer service to ensure all patient care needs are addressed in a timely and safe manner. Ability to be at work and be on time Ability to follow company policies, procedures, and directives Ability to interact in a positive and constructive manner Ability to prioritize and multitask Placement in the pay range is based on multiple factors including, but not limited to, relevant years of experience and qualifications. Qualifications Minimum Requirements Qualifications/Work Experience:
One (1) year of experience in Radiology procedures including geriatric, adult, adolescent, and neonate patient populations preferred, or Student with clinical rotation completed at the hospita
Education/Licensure/Certification:
Current Certified Radiologic Technologist (CRT) license required Current Certified Fluoroscopy (FLUR) license required Current Basic Cardiac Life Support Card issued by the American Heart Association required Current American Registry of Radiologic Technologist certificate preferred Intravenous (IV) Certification preferred
