 DSH Recruitment Survey All state civil service employees are currently subject to a mandatory Personal Leave Program (PLP). The PLP program reduces the monthly gross salary but provides PLO leave credits in lieu of pay. The amount of salary reduction depends on the classification and associated union Bargaining Unit (BU). The BU that represents this position is BU#20•Service Employees International Union (SEUI) . The expected salary reduction will be 3% of the salary identified above, and you will accrue approximately 5 hours of PLP each qualifying pay period. Incumbents will be subject to the PLP salary reduction and leave accruals through June 30, 2027. You will find additional information about the job in the . Working Conditions The employee is required to work any shift and schedule in a variety of settings throughout the hospital and may be required to work overtime and float to other work locations as determined by the operational needs of the hospital. All employees are required to have an annual health review and repeat health reviews whenever necessary to ascertain that they are free from symptoms indicating the presence of infection and are able to safely perform their essential job duties. It is a self-contained psychiatric hospital constructed with a security perimeter. California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation (CDCR) provides perimeter security as well as transportation of patients to outside medical services and court proceedings.
