We are seeking an experienced Level 3 Digital Radiography/Computed Tomography Technician to be an integral part of the team that keeps NSI at the forefront of NDT technology. The DR & CT Level III Specialist plays a critical role in delivering high-quality X-ray and CT inspection services for customer-supplied products. This position applies advanced technical expertise to ensure inspections meet customer specifications, written procedures, and industry standards. As a senior technical contributor, the Level III Specialist collaborates closely with Coordinators, Sales, and X ray Technicians to successfully execute projects, support system applications, and serve as a subject-matter expert. This role also represents the organization by providing technical demonstrations, guidance, and education to customers and internal teams as needed. This position requires advanced critical thinking skills, deep technical knowledge, and sound judgment. The work directly influences customer satisfaction, regulatory compliance, training effectiveness, and the company's technical reputation. Accuracy, consistency, and clear communication are essential, as errors may have significant operational, customer, or compliance impacts.
What You'll Do:
Primary Responsibilities - Design, develop, administer, and maintain internal training and qualification programs for Level I and Level II personnel across all U.S. sites. Achieve and maintain approval as an examiner, instructor, and auditor in accordance with NAS 410 requirements. Actively contributes expertise by communicating technical knowledge internally and externally, positioning NSI as a trusted industry leader. Develop DR & CT inspection techniques and execute system applications in support of NSI sales and customer needs. Generate accurate, professional inspection data from testing and applications work. Prepare and deliver clear, well-structured written and verbal technical presentations for internal teams and external customers. Partner with Sales to support technical qualification efforts, customer discussions, exhibitions, trade shows, and conferences. Work directly with customers to perform demonstrations and develop DR & CT inspection techniques tailored to their applications. Maintain NAS 410 Level 3 certification. Create, review, and update NSI procedures and work instructions to ensure alignment with customer requirements and industry standards. Secondary Responsibilities - Participate in Imaging Group brainstorming sessions to support product innovation and advanced technique development. Provide support and collaboration to the Responsible Level III as needed. Monitor industry standards and notify other NSI Level III personnel of changes that may impact compliance. Assist with testing and evaluation of new supplier products, including X ray tubes, detectors, and software. Travel up to 15% to customer sites, company locations, trade shows, or industry events. Perform other related duties as assigned. What We're Looking For We're seeking qualified candidates who bring: Associates degree and 5-7 years of work experience Background in NDT, Industrial Digital X-ray (DR), Industrial Computed Tomography (CT) Digital Radiography Technique Development experience Proficiency in using Microsoft programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, etc.) General technical aptitude Adaptive learner of new software Extensive Computer hardware knowledge Excellent verbal and written communication skills Professional demeanor and appearance
Compensation Information:
The hourly rate for this position ranges from $40-58/hr. based on education and experience. ITW is an equal opportunity employer.
