Limited X-Ray Technician Serra Community Medical Clinic is seeking a compassionate, dependable, and patient-focused Limited X-Ray Technician to join our growing team. The position works closely with physicians and clinical staff to ensure timely, safe, and accurate imaging services. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Perform diagnostic X-ray procedures in accordance with California regulations, physician orders, and clinic protocols. Verify patient identity and explain imaging procedures to patients. Position patients appropriately to obtain quality diagnostic images. Operate radiographic equipment safely and efficiently. Follow radiation safety practices for patients, staff, and visitors. Ensure compliance with ALARA principles and applicable state and federal regulations. Review images for quality and repeat studies when medically necessary and within scope. Document imaging procedures accurately in the electronic health record. Prepare patients for imaging procedures while maintaining comfort, dignity, and privacy. Maintain imaging equipment and promptly report equipment concerns or maintenance needs. Clean and disinfect imaging equipment and exam rooms between patients. Maintain adequate inventory of imaging supplies. Assist providers and clinical staff with patient flow as needed. Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA requirements. Follow OSHA, infection prevention, and clinic safety standards. Participate in quality improvement initiatives and regulatory compliance activities. Deliver exceptional customer service while maintaining professionalism and compassion. Perform other duties and special projects as assigned. Minimum Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. Current California Limited X-Ray Permit required. Current CPR/BLS certification required. Basic computer skills and experience with electronic medical records preferred. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced clinical environment. Bilingual English and Spanish preferred. Medical Assistant experience or certification preferred, but not required. Preferred Qualifications Previous experience in an outpatient clinic, urgent care, family practice, or community health center. Experience with electronic health record systems.
