Work Shift Day:
8 hours Job Description Collaborates with other members of the healthcare team to promote optimum imaging procedures. Provides imaging services as defined by Title 17 (Radiologic Health Branch) and Title 22 (Department of Health Services) for the State of California. Applying the principles in assessing, planning, implementing, evaluating and modifying patient imaging care as an active, continuous process.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform screening and diagnostic mammography exams Perform ABUS (Automated Breast Ultrasound) exams as assigned Ensure patient safety, privacy, and comfort in accordance with department protocols Prepare and position patients accurately to achieve high-quality images Participate in orientation and training programs for new technologists Demonstrate and maintain competency in all equipment and procedures at this level Performs additional responsibilities as required or assigned.
Continuing Education:
Complete required CEUs to maintain certification and licensure
Performance Expectations:
Must receive an overall "Meets Expectations" or higher on performance reviews Career Mobility Guidance Movement between levels will be evaluated during the annual performance review cycle or during formal promotion reviews initiated by the employee or leadership. To progress, employees must meet required experience, certifications, and demonstrated competencies, and must be in good standing with no active disciplinary actions. Advancement is subject to manager approval and documented competency validation. Employees may be moved down a level if they voluntarily request it, are placed on disciplinary action or if they fail to maintain required certifications or competencies. Demotion to a lower career ladder level will occur if an employee is placed on any form of disciplinary action (documented verbal (for attendance only), written, or higher), or if they receive a "Needs Improvement" or "Unsatisfactory" rating in any category of their performance evaluation. Employees on corrective action will be ineligible for promotion for a period of 12 months from the date the action is issued unless an exception is granted with approval from the Department Director. Qualifications Graduate of an accredited educational program in radiologic technology. License/Certification/Registration Requirements ARRT (R) certification required Must have or obtain ARRT (M) within 6 months of hire State licensure as required, CRT, Mammo & Fluoroscopy BLS Ages of Patients Served This position is responsible for the care of neonate, infant, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients. This is a general description of the nature and level of work performed by people in this classification. Salary Range:
$70.33 - $89.20 USD Hour The Physical Requirements and Working Conditions of this job are available.
