Job Description

Where You'll Work Mercy Medical Center Redding offers comprehensive health care to nearly 300,000 residents in a six-county region. It is one of only two Level II trauma centers, the only Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) and the only Joint Commission-certified Advanced Thrombectomy-Capable Stroke Center north of Sacramento north of Sacramento. One California Job Summary and Responsibilities As our Radiologic Technologist (Rad Tech), you will be pivotal in producing diagnostic images that enable Radiologists to accurately diagnose and manage patient conditions.

Each day, you will perform a variety of imaging examinations, including X-rays, ultrasound, diagnostic fluoroscopy, CT/CAT scans, and MRIs, while actively contributing to a positive patient experience through direct interaction.

To excel, you must deeply understand diagnostic imaging's critical importance, encompassing expertise in workflow, patient positioning, and capturing precise results essential for timely and accurate diagnoses. Performs all radiographic procedures with a sound understanding of anatomy, physiology, positioning to produce optimal results Reviews physician orders and relevant clinical information to assure the appropriate exam is being obtained for the patient Reviews and explains the examination with the patient to assure optimal cooperation and relieve patient anxiety Maintains work areas in clean and orderly condition and ensures that examination areas are properly supplied, equipped and operational before each examination Checks the quality of images/scans in general and is responsible for the data and quality control of work performed Understands safety goals, radiation safety guidelines and appropriate policies and procedures to assure a safe environment for the patient Job Requirements Required Graduate of a JCERT accredited school of radiologic technology and, upon hire and
